Kings Forest

Planning Workshop Australia was engaged by Leda Developments to obtain a Part 3A Project Approval for a 1,064 hectare parcel of land at Kings Forest, approximately 4km south of Kingscliff in the Tweed Shire. The site was proposed for urban development, including residential, retail village and convenience centres, sporting fields, a golf course, a lakefront recreational precinct, and religious and education facilities.
The project involved liaison with subconsultants, and extensive liaison with Tweed Shire Council and the Department of Planning.
PWA undertook a State Significant Site Study that was submitted to the Department of Planning. The Study assessed the proposed development of the site against the legislative planning framework, as well as other considerations such as environmental, social and physical infrastructure and economic impacts.
The Minister for Planning approved the project.
