Sandon Point: Review of 2003 Commission of Inquiry

Appointed to provide an independent review of the findings and recommendations of the 2003 Commission of Inquiry (CoI) into a highly controversial residential land development at Sandon Point.

More specifically, the Minister requested that advice in relation to matters including:

• appropriate zone boundaries
• appropriate development footprint for the land
• mechanisms for bringing land identified as being desirable for public ownership into public ownership
• the suitability of a hostel and nursing home facility proposal
• outcomes from community comments
