Review of Planning and DA Assessment

Planning Workshop Australia was engaged by Sutherland Shire Council to undertake a review of its planning and development application assessment processes.

PWA’s role was to receive written submissions from interested parties including developers/builders, architects, objectors to development applications, community groups, individuals and Council staff, outlining their comments and suggestions on assessment processes. PWA also conducted public hearings as part of the independent review, during which interested parties were invited to provide their comments in an open hearing forum.

PWA then made recommendations to the Council on ways to improve its current procedures and policies.
