Sofie is Principal Environmental Planner with Planning Workshop Australia, with specialist capabilities in environmental planning, environmental impact assessment and project management. Her wide knowledge across environmental science disciplines has particular benefit in ensuring an accurate and balanced interpretation of land use and development opportunities and constraints.
Sofie has worked on Part 3A Major Projects preparing the Environmental Assessments and project managing applications for residential, tourist and foreshore developments, marina developments, and employment lands. She has also assisted with a review of the Commission of Inquiry Report for Sandon Point, and was appointed by Rockdale Council to assess applications for a $600 million business park development at Cooks Cove.
Sofie has also worked on compensation cases and prepared Due Diligence and Planning Feasibility Statements, Statements of Environmental Effects, Environmental Impact Statements and Rezoning Applications for commercial, industrial and residential developments.
Sofie has experience liaising with State and Local Government Agencies and in the interpretation of Section 94 Contributions Plans for infrastructure funding.
