Sonja Lyneham has over 30 years professional experience in urban development, including masterplanning, project management, development, staging and economic appraisal.
Sonja has special competence in urban and regional planning, managing major projects, formulating policy, evaluating projects and developing strategies.
Team Leader, urban economist, visionary planner and project manager, Sonja initiated and, over a three year period, brought to implementation one of the largest mixed use and residential projects in the Asia Pacific region - the Jakarta Waterfront Strategy.
Sonja was appointed to undertake the Property Audit for all NSW Government holdings for the NSW Commission of Audit. She undertook similar property audits and financial evaluations for individual agencies including Sydney and Prospect County Councils, and the Department of Defence. Currently, Sonja is overseeing a number of masterplanning projects, including Schofields Defence Site and Rhodes Peninsula Revitalisation Strategy.
Sonja is Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of the Built Environment of the University of New South Wales, where she is responsible for the international studios for the Masters Program in Urban Design and Development.
